Working on a new wood stove for use at the ranch and for backpacking trips. Here you can see the legs and the housing. It is made using an Ikea utensils strainer and 5/16″, 18 x 1-1/2″ hex head bolts. It is 7″ tall and 4.5″ wide. It is called the Ikea Hobo Stove. The cylindrical shape and many holes allow for proper ventilation resulting in a clean thorough burn. In my burn test every piece of wood burned to a complete ash.

I added a new Imusa .7 qt. mug to my gear bag. These aluminum mugs are very useful, very light and very affordable. You can find them at your local Walmart or at most neighborhood grocery stores.
