Ladies and Gentlemen, meet “Old Navy”. This is the official boat of the little ranch. It is an 18 ft Alumacraft jon boat. Hopefully it will be ready for the 2018 boating season. I see many rivers, lakes, and maybe the bay in its future. I named the boat “Old Navy” because of this picture. 🙂

New Camp Grill :)
This camp grill was given to me this past Christmas and will be used at the little ranch without fail. With all of the steaks we prepare on our camping trips this will fit in perfectly. This is an excellent gift!
Smith & Wesson 586 .357 – Ranch Revolver
I love this revolver! If you ever visit the little ranch bring some .357 bullets and ask me to bring the Smith & Wesson 586 .357. You will have a great time shooting this revolver.
2 feeders, 320 lbs. of corn, 8 – 40lb bags
In order to keep the deer happy we need to keep the feeders full. This keeps them coming back to the land for a visit and a snack. In this case we refilled the 2 feeders with 8 – 40 lbs bags. 320 lbs of corn. Chow is ready.
Weatherby .308
A view from inside the deer blind. Here is the Weatherby .308 rifle and the Swiss Army “Hunter” knife my son gave me. I was sitting for a hunt but nothing passed through. Maybe next time.
A gift from my son!
Before and After…..Brush Hog Work
With all of the wonderful rain we had alot of vegetative growth over the summer and the ranch needed a good clean up. As you can see from the pictures below it makes a huge difference. It makes it easier for us to see the ground and possible snakes that may be wondering about the land looking for a meal.
Texas 1836 Sign
This past summer I took a trip to San Antonio and found this wonderful sign for the little ranch, “Texas 1836”. I placed the sign on the wall of the RV port and it looks great. It reminds our guests that we are in Texas and the date takes us back to a time forgotten, but full of important Texas history. I love and I hope you guys like it as well.
Texas 1836 Sign
This sign will be placed on the eastern exterior wall of the base camp. It will require a long ladder, cordless drill, and some security fasteners to prevent theft. Looking forward to seeing the sign at the ranch. TEXAS!
Buck Commander Black Rack Game Call
I have added a Buck Commander Black Rack game call to my hunting gear for Whitetail Deer. Let’s hope they draw in the monster buck. A tutorial on how to use rack type rattling game calls: https://youtu.be/OD-4QMnTfDk
